Actress and singer, Susie French is one of Australia’s most established and regarded music theatre artists.   

Her credits for the QUEENSLAND THEATRE COMPANY include APPLAUSE, BABY, A SPRING SONG, andthe role of Muriel in ANIMAL FARM, Doreen in THE SENTIMENTAL BLOKE, Esther in SEVEN LITTLE AUSTRALIAN, Peppermint Patty in SNOOPY- THE MUSICALand Jenny Diver in THE THREEPENNY OPERA.  She was engaged by OPERA AUSTRALIA for its schools touring company over two consecutive years and has appeared in productions by OPERA QUEENSLAND.

While based in Melbourne she consolidated a twenty-year career touring Australia in the national productions of such musicals as THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, THE SECRET GARDEN, MAME, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, MENOPAUSE-THE MUSICALand MAMMA MIA.

Most recently, during 2025, she has been appearing as Dr. Lilian Cooper in the QUEENSLAND PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE’s production of A GIRL’S GUIDE TO WORLD WAR, a role for which she won a Matilda Award for Best Actress In A Supporting Role in 2019.

French has also been a finalist in THE SYDNEY CABARET CONVENTION.

She is now based in Queensland and is the Musical Director of LITTLE SEED THEATRE COMPANY in Noosa.
